The rules of adsense are really pretty simple and the program was designed to be as simple as possible to use. One of the most important rules is that your adsense pages must conform to Google's webmaster guidelines. Thus your site must contain relevant unique content. Stay away from creating scraped content made for adsense sites.

If you follow the rules you will succeed long term with adsense and your site will do well in the search engines as long as you stick with what the major search engines want. Another rule of adsense is to avoid putting your ads next to images, if you do this you must surround your ads with borders which clearly show the difference between the pictures and the ads.

Also remember that you are allowed a maximum of 1 search box, 2 link units and 3 ad units. Also keep in mind that adsense units must only be placed on content rich pages that contain lots of text content. Make sure to check the official adsense site regularly to stay in touch with the latest adsense terms and conditions as they are changing frequently.

Staying within the rules is easy so do not try anything sneaky to try to make a quick buck. You are much better off following the rules and building a real business that will last a lifetime instead of something that only lasts a few months and then gets delisted because you were doing something against the terms and conditions. With adsense, the key to success after you have created a site that generates a lot of traffic is simply optimization.
